Let’s play catch up, shall we?

In late spring, the brain trust that is We Are Still Hungry, Inc. made a strategic decision to scale back on this site. When we compared site visits to the time it took to create the posts, it was an easy decision.

But it was never our intention to have our site filled with cobwebs so allow us to present all the episodes we’ve missed. From now on, we’ll tell ya each time we have an episode.

Paula went to the Tax March and saw everyone’s Auntie Maxine Waters. We also discuss Mama June’s physical transformation. The Fatphobic Disaster of the Week is Cosmopolitan Magazine’s promotion of a weightloss program based on having cancer. The Body Positivity Win of the Week is a documentary called “The Student Body”. The Effed Up Shit is the stories of Nandi and Demetrius. We go on a rant about contouring and self-tanner lotion in the MakeUp Minute. Our recommendations are the documentary Strike a Pose and sweat spray.

This week we celebrate Earth Day and all the different marches in DC. We spend some time chatting about our love for Bravo and whether Scheana has had her jaw shaved. Lady Gaga’s new song The Cure is perfection. During the Fucked Up Shit, we give you an update on the police officers who murdered Alton Sterling, and give you the run down on a dipshit white state senator in Florida who used the n-word around his black colleagues. Our Fat-Phobic Disaster of the Week is the terrible Uber driver, who was “concern trolling” our friend Tess Holiday. Paula defines “body currency” as named by Tess Baker. Paula also had a makeover at Sephora and it was magical. Amy had a ukulele minute. Our recommendations are The OA, The Leftovers Season 3, Missing Richard Simmons, and Damn by Kendrick Lamar.

We are VERY VERY DUMB during this episode. Paula went to one of the marches in DC and things were awesome. Amy chilled with Holocaust survivors for two days and then went to the Days of Remembrance ceremony in the US Capitol and saw President Trump. Amy also has very complicated feelings about the show 13 Reasons Why. Paula’s Fatphobic Disaster is the Russian airline AEROFLOT. Our recommendations are Trader Joe’s mixed nut butter, the podcast Bitch Sesh, Real Housewives of Atlanta and Heather Mae!

Paula and Amy discuss SO MUCH this week! Are Mariah and Nick getting back together? Why is his child named “Golden”? The Effed Up S this week is Miley Cyrus’s “ghetto safari” and her return to white people music. The Fatphobic disaster of the week is Gold’s Gym in Texas fat-shaming kids. The Body Positive Win of the week comes from our new best friend Gabby Sidibe. During the Makeup Minute, we talk for far too long about mascara and Amy continues to be vulgar. Our recommendations include Gaycation, The Handsmaid’s Tale, Andy Cohen’s Then & Now and the album called “Cover Stories” which is all covers of Brandi Carlile’s The Story. STAY HUNGRY!

This week Paula tells us of her & Carlo’s adventure in Nashville! Our makeup minute is MASKS! Amy describes using the blackhead remover mask and Paula recommends Tonymoly’s “I’m Real”. Amy also recommends Freeman masks & scrubs. The fat-phobic disaster of the week is Chance the Rapper, although we’re quick to forgive him because he is our fave. The fat positive win of the week is Ashley Nell Tipton for her line of accessories for big people! The fucked up shit this week is the acquittal of Betty Shelby, the person who murdered Terrence Crutcher. Our recommendations are Kanye West’s College Dropout and Late Registration, as well as the podcasts Modern Love and Nancy, and The Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry.

This week Amy describes going to her 20th year college reunion at UVA. It was very white and she drank a lot. Paula enjoyed DC Pride without Amy and gives us make up tips that were super gay — GLITTER! Also, the Carter twins have arrived!! The Fucked Up Shit this week revisits the death of Phil Castile because Jeronimo Yanez was aquitted of his murder. Also we explore Katy Perry’s explicit bias. The Fat-Phobic Disaster is Roxanne Gay’s whole life. Our recommendations are The Therapist on Viceland, Janet Mock’s new podcast “Never Before”, and LIZZO! Also, check out Mommy Dead & Dearest.
